It's a serious problem in modern players. Ronaldinho's genius would be coached out of him today. I've seen videos of coaches with younger players and as soon as someone does something creative they stop play and the coach explains what they did wrong. I think Daniel Farke made a great recovery to our poor start to the season. 90 points and no promotion is ridiculous, fair play to McKenna and Ipswich. Our owners have made good signings, but, once again, we've signed a striker who seems to be able to do everything except score. Major fullback problems have caused us to put our best talent in an unnatural position - end of the day not a shocking result. I have faith in Farke, for one more season at least. A great squad yes, but half of our best players have had their focus on the transfer window (ehem gnonto) for most of the season. Seperate the good and the loyal and the expensive, and I think we've got a great chance next season, with much better foundations. (Depending on how Bolton perform next season, I would love to see Ian Evatt succeed)

I find it hard to judge how much changes are actually needed, it's been a strange season - we've been extremely unbalanced in transitions (I think a lot of that is down to Klopp's failure to adjust the team), our new signings haven't hit the ground running (and/or have been misused) and all our attackers have been poor for a majority of the season (apart from Jota). assuming Slot will play a 4-2-3-1: Goalkeeper we should be fine, if Kelleher leaves, I'd trust Jaros to be our number 2 (he's been great for Sturm Graz). Don't think a centre back is needed neccessarily either if we keep Sepp: Van Dijk, Quansah, Konate, Sepp + Gomez in emergencies is decent enough (Konate needs to step up his game next season) Right back is fine Left back depends on how much trust Slot puts in Beck to be Robertson's cover, not seen much from him but he apparently had a great season. DM/CM is tricky as well, because I think we only signed Endo because Bajcetic was expected to be back much sooner and take over his place in due time, but it turned out differently. Endo is definitely upgradeable but I'm not sure who we could sign + I don't want to block Bajcetic´s pathway. For the other role in the pivot we're fine. CAM: I expect a lot from Szobo and I think Elliot will be fantastic there as well, maybe we'll even see Carvalho LW: I hope Gakpo will be first choice, I've not given up on Diaz but if we get a great offer, we should consider selling and replacing him. RW: assuming Salah stays, as you said we need a backup and potential replacement for him ST: as I mentioned before I'd bring another striker in although it's unlikely.
