The entire Athletic team shaved their heads in support for Yeray who was diagnosed with cancer. His hairline was probably always receding, but his hair was covering it.
avatar
I don't think Neves is a option for us sadly. Unbelievable DLP but likeyou touched on, he's not athletic enough for our system. I can see us go for somebody like A. Onana or K.Thuram this summer. Ideally we for some who's got the ability to break down park the bus teams while also having the athleticism to cover lots of grass
avatar
Europeans like to think that if they just act like racism doesn’t exist than it just flat out doesn’t exist. “Oh but I don’t see color.” It’s ridiculous and like you said, pathetic.
avatar
Honestly that's a pretty pathetic stance imo, furthermore many players in Europe have even walked off thefeild for this so idk what you're talking about.
avatar
I think he probably just chased the bag and chose the team that offered him a little more money, the european teams that tried to sign him probably offered a good wage, but Atlanta offered a little more and he chose money instead of better clubs and a much better league He would probably get a work permit in England and he'd definitely get one in Germany, plus Italy and Spain's biggest roadblock to sign foreign players is the non-EU player limit that isn't that restrictive, and France pretty much doesn't have any restrictions I think, so he just chose who paid more
avatar
Mate, stop with that agenda. Joelinton was easily our POTS 21/22. And before that season we had Steve Bruce, not even worldclass strikers would shine in a Bruce team
avatar
Future superstar. He's got extraordinary qualities. He just got to be a little more ruthless infront of goal and and not think so much when he's in good positions
avatar
Perhaps the strongest bench we we have had in years. Bodes well for the final 10 games
avatar
I think he doesn't have a preference (he can play anywhere in the front three except st) but yes he is usually on the left
avatar
Fair play to Murphy. I have been criticizing him heavily over the years, but he's been putting in MOTM performances last couple of months. Quickly becoming a cult hero for us
avatar
Yes, was there against city in the first leg
avatar
He looked very good. He was their best player
avatar
Let's goooo !! Hype hype hype hype
avatar
Massive results for us. But perhaps even more key is that Spurs doesn't look like a top 4 team, if they win nowadays it's mostly thanks to Harry Kane. Whereas Newcastle played well all season, even when we lost against Man utd and Liverpool. So im very optimistic. We got Spurs at home this month, win there and I struggle to see us miss out on top 4
avatar
that Spurs draw was also good for Newcastle !!
avatar
Pity that Eddie Howe wouldn't get MOTS if he guided us to top 4 after being 19th/20th in table until February of last season. Only one can win and I won't complain if Arteta win the award, but Howe deserve huge plaudits
avatar
Growing more and more confident on us getting top 4. We got such a solid defense while our top 4 rivals struggle to stop opponents from creating
avatar
It's a difficult one. Karius is for me gone, his GF living in Italy is pregnant. Dubravka is too good to be sitting on the bench, he'd arguably start for 6-7 PL teams. I can see him stay if we get UEL football but not if we get UCL football. Ideally we keep Dubravka but he showed past summer that he's not willing to be a bench warmer
avatar
Interesting choices. I like Tielemans but would he accept a rotational role? Because there's no way he'd start over Joelinton. He'd also ask for big wages as a free agent. Another issue we got is lack of club produced players, we need minimum 4 in uefa competitions, we got Longstaff, Anderson& Dummett currently. So I think we'll keep E.Anderson. I like Omobamidele, even though I think there's better young CB's in his league like Cresswell & Ahmedhodzic. Also nice to see you put the LCM slightly ahead of our RCM, Joelinton/Willock do get more license to attack than Longstaff
avatar
This Spurs team might struggle to get to required 68-69 Pts this season. They can't control games whatsoever, just relies on counterattack's
avatar
Luke Shaw & Ten hag " I don’t think they (Newcastle) won it on quality today, I think they won it on passion, hunger, desire and attitude." We dominated this match from the start till the end, weird comments. Liverpool had 2.78 xG vs Man utd and scored 7 goals. Newcastle had 4.04 xG vs Man utd and scored 2.
avatar
I mean, better players win you games, it goes without saying haha

The better team won yesterday. Sad to see us losing a game, but good to see you guys doing so well as a team. Good luck for the rest of the season!

He reminds me of Benzema when Ronaldo was around, he brings so much to the game even when he is not scoring.
avatar
Baller. So elegant on the ball for his height.
avatar
Bernadeschi clear
avatar
the guy told his club he was kidnapped so he missed training sessions true story look it up
avatar
Free kicks don’t change in leagues lol

Every championship & Premier league club got a better academy than Newcastle's. Ex owner Mike Ashley took over the club in 2007 and didn't invest a penny into the academy, training ground and general infrastructure. The only first team players we produced during Ashley's tenure were the Longstaff's, Dummett, Anderson,Carroll &Sammy Ameobi. All the good youngsters from the area chose to join Sunderland/M'Boro because those clubs have far better youth systems. Our new owners sees this as a priority and have poached some of the best youth scouts in the country, some of the best youth recruiters in the country etc. We'll see their grand plan come into fruition after 4+ years. With that said, We do have one of England U17's best youngsters 16 year old Lewis Miley. He has been training with the senior team multiple times

77/78 atleast EA. Canada's Benzema I love this man 😩😩😩
avatar
2nd best Striker in cocnacaf
avatar
Yeah .. sadly I love you too man
avatar
He is as innocent as O. J. Simpson my guy, they just couldn't find the right evidence
avatar
A lot of rape apologists in these comments, it's actually insane
avatar
For everyone too stupid to understand, he isn't innocent. The charges were dropped because he paid some witnesses, so he wouldn't go to jail. The evidence was there, he just got lucky that he's got money and that the law system is slow.
avatar
The plain truth is this sport is infested with rapists, abusers and predators and has been for decades. Look at the brewing FFF scandal covering up sex crimes for over 40 years, the English pedophile scandal that broke in 2016 or the amount of players who have been arrested for domestic violence just to have it swept under the rug. Wealthy men are protected in society, regardless of whatever garbage idiots like Tate are trying to sell to children. None of them deserve a place in our sport and it’s despicable to see fans (including my fellow Arsenal fans) excusing their behavior.
avatar
Personally feel like Manuel Ugarte fits perfectly in our DM role. Watching some of his highlights, he is a workhorse with great footwork and always in the right spot to make an interception in the middle. Big, physical player as well.
avatar
Toronto is so shit at developing players ngl. Should get a move to a bundesliga team and get loaned to the bundesliga 2

Absolutely disgrace that the joke of a man isn't deemed to be a racist, have a look at this: https://s3a.sofifa.net/3d886bef18cabfafdfba5683eef94602b58b9d2a.jpg

I know no one here cares but I’m literally quitting FIFA this year. Been buying every game since the early 2010s but they will never stop taking the piss on us so I’d rather not give them another single dime of my hard earned money. They literally can’t do anything right anymore
avatar
Be grateful for Kane, without him Heung min son wouldn't be as effective
avatar
Definitely, the team is fully fit and getting back to their best, led by Isak who is really firing now with some outstanding performances. The bad run of form previously was a bit of a myth too, sure the results slipped but the performances were still solid. A win against Man Utd will really boost us for the run home, quietly confident we can do it.
avatar
Why on earth would he want to leave and why would we want to sell him? Every time he plays he and Bruno are the best two players on the pitch.
avatar
Isak is finally playing in a attacking system and can show how complete he is. Still only 23 y.o, he's got at least another 10 years at this level Those who doubted Isak and called him "Overrated " because he only scored 6 league goals in 21/22 has been really quite lately. 7 PL goals in 624 minutes played ( 0.89 goals/match)
avatar
I was very excited when he joined us. But no young player will thrive under Steve Bruce in that 7-2-1 system... I still think there's more to come from Lewis, but he needs to take a step back in order to take two steps forward. A upper-half championship side would be great for him
avatar
Howe doesn't want to drop Burn, because Burn is very vocal and a leader on & off the pitch. Targett was also out injured from like September to February, so he lack match sharpness. We don't have the luxury to field all of our sqaud players in UEL/UECL like most English teams do, so our fringe players will have to wait patiently
avatar
Both are great stop trying to farm upvotes shamelessly off barca slander

Think you should focus on getting a green card first icl

the best left backs in the world are automatically world class, bc that's the definition of world class, being "among the best itw"
avatar
I completely agree, his potential is ridiculous.

Eritrea
avatar
He is so good
avatar
I get the idea, because not far up and there is other Aussies, so be surrounded etc. But why aren't you sending him to an attacking Championship or League 1 side. That plays with wingers and needed a winger or rotation in that positions. Even if LM/LW to RW/RM & playing across the three and even Rotation striker. Better than hearts and being played CM, LCM, then a lone striker against 3 defenders and other shit I've seen on loan made my head hurt. His a kid, from Australia, always gonna take time settle in, going from summer heat to freezing cold. But Scotland extra worse. It's just puzzling how they got this loan so wrong. It's not massively difficult. Number of teams that picked up loan wingers not near on level of Kuol and getting game time in league 1 and some lower to mid sides of Championship. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you're trying to justify yourself not being racist at the start of your message your argument is automatically awful
