It's just a symbol that helps to know how to pronounce a word in a better manner. Its not an ornament to make the word fancy-er. So, it is not pronounced "RAAAAAAul", but "RaUUUUL". Not "JEEEmenz", but "JimEEEEEEnez". You make emphasis on the wrong letter every single time, even when there's a graphical cue on where to make the word stronger. It just baffles me how they butcher every name, even the most simple ones without even trying. These big broadcasting companies should give a simple sheet of paper with the breakdown on the pronunciation of foreign names. Just out of respect FFS. I think Roldan suffers from being a system player. Which means he benefits from playing a role where he's told what to do. At the USMNT, he's thrown onto the wing and told to play winger when he doesn't play that role naturally. Which is why his brother looks a lot better than him, his brother is a more natural winger. Roldan is a midfielder and should be played in his natural position. So I don't hold anything against Roldan, but I do on our USMNT coaches who are forcing roles onto our players.
