What. Jesus and Saka missed sitters. Jesus missed TWO. Martinelli and nelson fumbling in the box. This "we don't create" narrative is so forced. Top teams finish their dinner
avatar
This is on Arteta. I said it at the middle of the first half, Moyes out tacticed him. Closed space and made certain players beat them. Luck for the first, but Spam closed down and sat on a piss poor attacking line. Just fiddling around the edges and simple chances. Shows that when a team comes out with not much in the 2nd half it's not just on the players. Time for a panic buy. ESR not starting was criminal. Arteta thinking Nketiah and others are Arsenal level and he's not, laughable. Might as well have brought on Nwaneri. No vision and no idea how to rotate and pace a season. Amateur hour.
avatar
Just seen that palace got a pen for literally the same thing Jesus didn’t. Personally I don’t think either are a penalty the VAR inconsistencies are driving me up the wall. Still annoyed over yesterday, more at Ødegaard than anything. He 100% should’ve scored twice. I like what I’m seeing from Havertz recently, he looks much more comfortable in that position and I never realised how much of a shithouse he was lmao. Picks little fights with every man and his dog
avatar
Best arsenal midfielder recently
avatar
Our best player today, was very unlucky with that VAR decision.
avatar
Imagine rolling in to the Arsenal page after a 3-0 drubbing by Bournemouth 💀
avatar
he headed it towards goal and it hit Cash's arm. that is a handball. it then bounced around and hit cash's hand a second time before it lightly brushed havertz hand. it should've either been a goal or a penalty
avatar
Arteta created this mess with the whole Raya - Ramsdale stuff. Raya made mistake, Ramsdale also made mistake against West Ham It divided your fanbase and putting pressure on the 2 keepers, made them played bad. Arteta is the one to blame
avatar
He looks shorter here. Now he's so gangly..... And obv short of confidence

Best birthday present from Arsenal, couldn't imagine it happening in a better way. The VAR situation, that lucky Rice goal, the 3rd goal dagger just to make it worse for them. Ah man... and against Man Utd of all teams. THANK YOU Arsenal!
avatar
Vieira 100% win his place in the next XI
avatar
Rashford has Ben White's no. Every time they're up against each other,White is simply terrified. Even today, for the goal...didn't even see that Saliba was behind him to cover. Instead of overplaying to one side, let him cut onto his right after giving a huge gap...easy set-up for the shot.
avatar
Gabriel massive brain step up for Garnacho offsides should get a ton of credit
avatar
Havertz is a work in progress player but one thing’s for sure: His ceiling right now is much higher than where it was at Chelsea. If Arteta can turn Xhaka into a 15 G+A player then Kai will come good.
avatar
Havertz played really well. Good in hold up, good on long balls, pressed okay, had two shots on target and with a bit more luck would've scored, and had pretty solid movement. Will be interesting to see how he's used this year. Definitely gave us something different so I'd be happy to see that used sometimes.
avatar
Yeah exactly. I had huge doubts Havertz had the ability to play as a target (he's obv tall but I didn't know he was that strong), but that performance was really promising. And tbh, I didn't think he'd play much 9 at all. And the beauty of it is, not only can he act as a target to escape the opp high press, but he can also drop deep and link play when needed. He's not exclusively a "target", nor a "F9", and has good movement in the box. He can be both, which is awesome for us. The only big weakness is the finishing. Also, I think the physicality he showed could be super useful moving forward when he plays in midfield (which he prob still will as well). Having a guy who can win duels in midfield and help out in the box could be huge. Very promising signs imo.
avatar
Two shots on target, one from a very difficult position, is a good sign. They were good saves.
avatar
Havertz needs some credit for his hold up play, say what you want about his finishing but we haven't had a player that can hold the ball up like that since Giroud. Lacathreat could do it at times but most of the times he would wait for contact and fall forward looking for a foul. Havertz was holding the ball up and allowing us to get up the pitch, I think you need someone like that upfront especially in away games in the champions League.
avatar
Unreal player. Can’t believe how fast he’s settled in. Zinchenko has work to do to get his place back.
avatar
Lol i just realized my third name is Gabriel 🤣 https://s3a.sofifa.net/68457967eb174ac9b443dc83706fb496b27ea057.jpg

80/83
avatar
Definitely in the top 5. 1. Barça 2. Real 3. Man UTD 4. Liverpool 5. Arsenal
avatar
Kovacic has 90 and if that's the case.Prime Özil should've had 96. Özil is one of the best passers in history and his passing stats were severely underated all his life
avatar
77/85 atm. Disciplined, promising, fundamentals down. Bargain
avatar
u support an even smaller club
avatar
Social media has a different impact nowadays but Yeah most is just banter just bc of the fast that Arsenal are HUGE. People can't seem to understand that and uses it as trolling lol
avatar
It's just banter I'm sure people are very aware a club like Arsenal are not small, it's just to annoy them and have a laugh.
avatar
And he ended up in arsenal... so not so far after all
avatar
discipline merchant 78/86
avatar
since day 1? He's Been a terrific signing, since Arteta implemented the style of playing from the back that's When the struggle started bc he's not that Good with his feet. He's saved us numerous times and for the idk 100th time, selling Emi was right in that moment of time.
avatar
Lautaro is a better and fitter version of Lacazette, similar profile but both lack height and proper poaching instincts that would get them 20 league goals a season. I don't get it how people act like he is a superstar, Arsenal signed better players before. Personally think Tammy would score more for us without depending on the output of his wingers, but I can't say the same about Lautaro
avatar
Change this man to a CAM and he does wonders. Coming off the bench he had something like 24 goals and 15 ast. He’s 84 rated in season 3 of my Everton save right now. Believe this guy is unreal.
avatar
If he wasn't English he'd never be worth 50m pounds. Skill wise, he's worth around 25-30m pounds. Talented player, but I don't think he will make a major impact for Arsenal immediately, but I guess that's okay for Arsenal since they're going for a rebuild by having a young squad.
avatar
Although he lacks commitment he is still our most intelligent player offensively along with Laca
avatar
Partey was very good. Didn't have much to do defensively we were in their half most of the game. Chambers was good and had a brilliant assist. Lacazette was really involved in buildup play and finished his goal very well. Balogun was very composed with his finish. Willian actually played decent and got an assist for baloguns goal. Nelson was tricky on the wing. Pepe was always a threat and took his goal well. Aubameyang was decent hit the bar and got an assist. Lokonga was very confident and good on the ball. Tavares had good recovery pace. And an overall good performance 7.5/10
avatar
77/87, down need more potential, but he's way better than 75 obviously.

"Mikel Arteta: Some of them can get to a certain level and you cannot push them any further. You want to evolve them but it's not possible." Sure chats a lot of shit for someone who's probably actively regressed half our squad. Can't think of a single player who looks better than they did before he joined.
avatar
I'm perfectly okay with sacking Arteta if we bring a WC manager... but are we gonna do that tho? Nope. Are we gonna have a perfect summer in order to have good chances of bouncing back? Nope Untill Kroenke leaves it doesn't matter. That's the big picture. I'll just be waiting for a random trophy/ies before the owner switch hopefully in less than 5 years.
avatar
Couldn’t even bring myself to smile when we scored today, I’m still hurting inside from Thursday’s disappointment...
avatar
Pure pace merchant, without it he is average at best. Also, should be obvious that he lacks the ambition needed to play in truly great side.
avatar
€12,936,591.60 is our new summer budget without investments now btw. Fucking 0 reward money this season
avatar
Hopefully this is the last push Kroenke needs to fuck off, we need a fresh lease of life in this club. It’s horrible seeing the state we are in right now
avatar
Wish Mesut Ozil was still here. So I could see him fling a water bottle at Arteta's fucking mug face.
avatar
Losing is one thing but the way we played today, Jesus fucking Christ. Pepe and Smith-Rowe can hold their heads up the rest should be fucking ashamed. Arteta can fuck off, worst season we’ve had in 25 years there is no reason that he should be trusted in charge. No process no nothing he hasn’t shown he’s got what it takes. Fuck the Kroenkes, fuck arteta, fuck our players, fuck Arsenal. I’m not watching another second of these clowns play till I think we’re moving in the right direction.
avatar
I cant even believe he's that stupid, this is the lowest Arsenal has been in decades
avatar
Not even mentioning the fact he played the worst lineup in Arsenal history the first leg
avatar
- subbed off Auba - played Partey as a lone CDM - didnt start the club's best CB Gabriel - originally planned to start Xhaka at LB when Tierney was fit - started Ceballos in the first leg - brought on Martinelli to play as a winger on the touchline yo Arteta is actually a complete fucking moron, wow.
avatar
Be excited we were told, next bayern Munich we were told. What a crock of shit. Deserved to go out. Good luck to Villarreal but can’t see Man Utd not winning it tbh.
avatar
Ryan was class tonight
avatar
I can't believe this guy didn't make a change at half time, get this clueless guy out of here man I'm done.
avatar
I get it. Arsenal gotta be social experiment to see how long people can survive this shithousery without breaking down
avatar
Laca isn’t fit. I understand that. Auba isn’t fully fit. I understand that. You have Balogun. Proven U23 Goalscorer and Captain. You have Martinelli. Very clearly being trained to become a ST. You have Nketiah. Maybe not as influential as the other two but still has very good movement off the ball and will cause problems and be at the end of clear chances if you can create them. Arteta: “Let’s play with NO STRIKER for Arsenal’s most important game of the season because that will definitely work considering that we’ve never used that system before in a match. Trust the process!”
avatar
Swear the guy is readying Willian and Elneny to come on.
avatar
He doesn't have control over anybody in the dressing room coz he tries to control players rather than trusting them like Wenger. And no one listens or respects him in the dressing room. Root cause of prob is him coz of his attitude like world class manager and decisions like noob. And if no players in dressing room listens to noobteta, then it's also his fault as he created such atmosphere in the club where he thinks everyone can be controlled by him. Now, don't tell ths, a manager can't have control over his team's performance. He is helped by 5 assistant coaches. Wake up from ur illusion and face the fact we are destined to suffer
avatar
This goes deeper than the manager or players. Been saying the same shit since 2007/8 and we've had 3 different managers and countless players recruited. Emmanuel Petite is right when he says this club is being run like a holiday retreat. Players develop this crap attitude at Arsenal no matter what they've come from and players that show a bit of fight and winning mentality get caught up in the cult, pushed out by the manager/board or villainised by the fans. Someone needs to hit the reset button quick

No passion

After cooling off a little bit, here are some of my thoughts: 1. Thomas has had a really alarming spell since coming back. He was sharp at first but now just looks more and more like an average 6. Does well defensively, is okay in simple possession but loses the ball when driving forward, and has lost his passing touch. Don't know what the issue is but it's alarming. 2. Cedric really struggled today, a shame because he had done well at LB before. Maybe it's because he was combining with Pepe instead of Willian, but his defense was poor too, and he got absolutely manhandled for that goal. 3. Speaking of, what does Willian actually do to help our team? He kind of fell into an 8 role today but still wasn't as good at that as Xhaka was, and ESR ended up doing a lot of the LW duties. 4. Speaking of again, ESR doesn't make those same dynamic runs beyond the striker as he did when he was really in form. Don't know if it's instructions, fatigue, or something else. 5. Still think Saka is destined to be a 10. He is so gifted technically, but doesn't really beat FBs 1v1 and isn't a natural goalscorer. 6. Holy hell we need a striker. Alexander Isak, Tammy Abraham, Ivan Toney, Andre Silva, Odsonne Edouard, someone new needs to come in. Even playing Gabi and/or Pepe up there would be better than what we've seen this season. 7. I think Leno has lost confidence. He just doesn't look as comfortable or commanding back there as he did for most of the season. The CB play in front of him has deteriorated significantly. 8. This is the biggest one. There is no killer instinct from most of our players. At one point, we were breaking towards their goal, Saka was carrying the ball down the right. Inside of him, from left to right, were Willian, Smith Rowe, Partey, and Lacazette. Every one of them was literally jogging towards the goal. Not a single one of them made a sprint into the box, either to give Saka an option or to open space for someone else. 9. This team cannot function with only one dynamic player. Saka was the only dynamic player for most of the match. We need to have two of Saka, Pepe, Auba, or Gabi playing in every match, as they are willing to make those dynamic runs and create spatial problems for the defense. Odegaard is the best at picking out those created problems. 10. All that said, this is not the worst result. At least we have a goal, even if they currently have the advantage. I still think we'll win the tie, though not as comfortably as we should. Tbh, the worry for me is that we carry this type of play into our next matches and we end up losing to Villarreal, possibly badly.
