Had it not been for him, Osimhen and Lobotka, we would really have been relegated. The only guaranteed thing is that madrid begins every league with +10 points and the rest of clubs have to catch up. But we are used to it already, the 2020 Covid league was a even bigger disgrace week in and week out.

We don't agree in many things, especially when it comes to transfers (you want to act too smart about it 😝), but in the principles we definitely share the same opinion. Whoever thinks that Xavi did a bad job or something similar that this guy wrote has no clue about football and general situation in our club. Let me quickly explain even if I did that many times before. 1. Xavi won La Liga last season and then he lost two the most crucial players of his system (Busquets, Dembele) and also very important Alba (not only on the pitch but also off the pitch). After that we had 3 millions to spent in the summer. Just an example: Leverkusen, who everyone talks about how they build their team out of nothing, they spent 81 millions in the summer. Even Girona spent 22 millions in the summer! We spent 3 millions!!! And that after losing few very very important players. 2. With all that I mentioned in the first point we still managed to start the season quite well. After 6th round we were 1st on the table with 5 wins and 1 draw (and that draw happened after they robbed us of clear penalty in 90th minute against Getafe in 1st round). We also had +10 goal difference, which was the best at that time (16 goals scored and 6 goals conceded). 3. In 6th round on the match against Celta Vigo Frenkie got injured. He was our most important player until then and with his injury we actually lost two players: Frenkie and Romeu. Romeu was amazing until then, but after that he lost all his confidence because in the next few matches he didn't do very well without Frenkie. 4. So Frenkie's injury was crucial point of our season because before that we did very well. But it wasn't the only important injured that happened during the season. There were many of them, especially in the midfield. We were without Pedri and Frenkie for so long and then just when Pedri came back and Frenkie would come back in few days, Gavi got injured, so we again didn't have all of our top midfielders. And Gavi who was crucial when Frenkie and Pedri were injured and he really showed how important he's for us then missed the whole season! And then Pedri got injured again twice, he was never fully fit and similar Frenkie who missed another 9 matches. So Pedri, Gavi and Frenkie have missed a total of 55 La Liga matches this season due to injuries! 5. And mentioned midfielders are not the only important players that were injured during the season. Another very important injury was injury of Ter Stegen, who missed 10 matches! And then also Balde who missed almost whole second half of the season (18 matches). And then there were also injuries in the attacking positions... Torres missed 7 matches, Felix 4 matches and Raphinha 6 matches; and for few matches in between all of them were injured at the same time. So we had so many injuries that hurt us a lot especially because we already didn't have much of a squad depth because we lost many important players in the summer already. 6. I won't write long stories about individual mistakes which cost us a lot of points this season. And I also won't mention referees.

DLS ratings and stats are often painfully wrong

To some people who think La Liga is weak, or weaker than other leagues. The second tier of teams (behind Madrid, Barça and Atletico) are so underrated, and have nothing to envy to their homologues in other leagues. Im talking about Athletic, Real Sociedad, Betis, Villarreal, Girona. Even weaker teams, may not have the best players but spanish teams are so well tactically prepared, its our special trait, that they can make stronger teams on paper suffer a lot.
