With Brobbey at first I was with the hype bro.. Now after seeing him more and more I just feel he'll be a Benteke / Wilfred type career at best if he came prem. He also really reminds me of bit of Bafétimbi Gomis from Lyon. Dosen't have a an elite motor to make the best use of his physicality to great effect. His press is mid, he isn't getting the ball back really. His link up is decent and tidy tbh. Finishing is good tbf, not out of this world though. He can use his left foot sometimes, but it's fox in the box stuff, jammy goals and finishing good service. Without good service he's a passenger. I do want to say this season his 1st touch has improved. He dosen't create tooooo much for others, or make amazing 'dummy' runs, only when it's blatantly obvious. Still struggles with offsides, slight IQ issue but he's high performing in other areas I guess. His overall game awareness isn't desirable, decision making isn't his thing rn tbh. I doubt he thrives at a top club rn. Not even Chelsea. He's a middle/lower table player, an archetypical Crystal Palace striker. The club he'd most likely thrive at in prem rn is probably Bournemouth but they've already got what they need in Dom Solanke. On the brightside! Great physicality when he uses it, you can tell he's been a striker from day 1 by how he opperates in the box. He's like 21 years old, and can still develop I just personally don't see him making the necessary leaps anytime soon. Rn he isn't a missing piece for a contending team imo. I don't think Brobbey suits Liverpool at all rn. His age profile is the main attraction when it comes to him, he's simply a good young striker thats on an upwards trend after appearing to stagnate. Plus imo there just are clearly better strikers out there. Zirkzee (deffo shown more ability), Openda, Boniface, Beier, Marmoush, Cunha, J. David, Albert Guðmundsson, Šešk, even Muniz or De Ketelaere. So many options and they all offer a bit more utility then just out right physicality and serviceable finishing. -He's more of a developmental player then his goals and assists suggests for sure, which is weird thing to say I know. Without him playing at Ajax there'd be big question marks. He massively underwhelmed at Leipzig! 14 appearances - 252 minutes (essentially he played just under 3 games worth at an average of 90 mins per game in his time there) No goals, 3 assists. I know he's an enticing young striker, but truthfully he has shown red flags. Glad he's progressing but for Liverpool I know theres better out there.
