I might be hated for this but let me explain what I think about him after have watched Genoa multiple times. In my opinion there’s too much hype around him. He’s playing in a system completely different from Tottenham and generally from each Prem club. Genoa play with 5 defenders and like to “pack” players in the back, which is perfect for him because his best qualities are strenght and marking. What scares me is that on the ball is always quite insecure and we have never seen him play with a high defensive line. I have strong doubts but I’m ready to be denied, also because he’s still young. To Tottenham fans I’d like to say to don’t expect a player prepared for this level, Kiwior is an example. If makes mistakes don’t treat him bad, but give him time to adapt and improve.

Seems pacey and aggressive but honestly his “tackling” (if you want to call it that) is simply pushing the attacker to the ground. Won’t get away with these challenges in the Prem. Maybe he will adapt quickly to that. Excellent in the air which is nice though and dangerous on corners/free kicks.
