Would love to see this. Rodri and Fabian playing would allow Pedri to be further up and more creative. Still think Ferran and Simon will still both be starters. I’m not sure if Ramos will return. I think Inigo Martinez could be a starter. i also think Guillamon could be a starter. LDLF loves him and I bet he vouched a lot with Enrique to bring him to Qatar. I also feel we will start to see some of the U21 players get debuts. Guys like Alex Baena, Sancet, Abel Ruiz, Pacheco, Riquelme, Sergio Gomez, Juan Miranda. All will be looked at as they are the best of the U21. Guys like Brahim Diaz, Zubimendi, Beltran from the 2019-2021 U21 team could debut too. LDLF excites me because he has grown with these players and knows the best how to use them. While losing Enrique might seem like a loss, he was going to leave anyways after the World Cup no matter the result.

Will return to NT with LDLF taking over. I think he will have a bigger role now.

I will only answer the critic to the fowards to give you an idea of the other positions. Luis Enrique's team does not respond to objective and quantifiable merits, but to specific sporting needs in relation to what the coach has in mind. The selections run the risk of being misunderstood and becoming a window in which the coach is a mere manager of names that are chosen by the fans, as if it were a television show. Versatility is prioritised in names such as Llorente, Guillamon, Asensio, Olmo, Ferran or Ansu because Luis Enrique is a lover of surprise, of playing with the rival and his intentions, capable of adapting to different things in the same scenario. Roles above labels and positions. When Spain played the Euro semi-finals against Italy, they did so without a centre-forward. And it was the best game of the national team. With Dani Olmo playing as a false 9 and Ferran and Oyarzabal on the wings, the national team was able to find a high tempo of play, with a lot of fluidity and constantly generating superiority against one of the best pressures of the tournament. Spain played Olmo as a midfielder while Ferran played as a centre-forward. Because in Luis Enrique's approach it is very important to be able to adopt different outfits, and the striker he is wearing is, in my opinion, the ideal one. Luis Enrique is bringing Morata as the only pure '9', but to say he is not bringing any centre forward is cheating: Ferran Torres has played there many times, Ansu Fati can do it (he has already played there and has shown he has a lot of goals), Asensio has also played there and has the ability to produce from his striking and Dani Olmo was crowned at Wembley as a real option. It is not as important to look at the label as it is to look at the interactions and roles of the players. The key, rather than the figure of the '9' alone, is to look at what relationship that player establishes with the wingers and inside players. With Yeremy and Nico, the national team is assured of an outside edge on both flanks, a type of edge that would be non-existent without their contribution, ball to the foot and short, dry dribbling, something necessary in a model of play with a lot of possession that demands that its wingers produce things when they receive. With Ferran, Lucho has a complete attacker, perfect for attacking deep and making himself noticed in the opposition area, a player who is good for all three profiles. Ansu Fati has a nose for goal and an incredible finishing ability on his day, even if he is not at his best, his presence seems to me to be unquestionable for pure talent and level. Asensio and his striking and ability to produce valuable sequences even with little impact on the game are very important in short tournaments. Sarabia is a player who also adds from his striking, tactically applied and with the ability to start from either side. Olmo and Ferran, being different, will start as players who are much more inside than outside, both very good at supporting and offloading. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between goals scored and potential goals. Just because you score a lot in one context doesn't mean you'll score a lot in another and vice versa. That's why Morata is the seventh highest goalscorer in the history of the national team and at Atlético he looks like another one. Because dynamics and contexts weigh. Ansu, Ferran, Olmo and Asensio may have fewer goals than some of those who are not, but that doesn't mean they don't have the goals Luis Enrique is looking for. The important thing is not the merits made outside, but the response once you are inside. And analysing the player and his impact always from Luis Enrique's model of play and the demands of the staff is essential to understand his decisions. That is why Luis Enrique's list allows the coach to offer different and very stimulating proposals: Ansu, Ferran and Olmo, the latter being a false '9', another with Morata and Nico or Yeremy accompanied by Torres himself. Proposals that have not yet been seen and, more importantly, it is not necessary to see them to know that they respond to what Lucho is looking for. Spain will have a very dynamic and vertical attack, with players who have goals and a great deal to gain and little to lose.
