You are completely wrong my friend. Fofana ain't a starter an injury prone player cannot be a starter it doesn't make sense. If Tosin is playing well I'm not gonna drop him for Fofana because he has a higher ceiling. Fofana needs to focus on getting over his injuries next season 25/26 he can compete to start but this season is the acid test if he's injured he's finished then suddenly you're up for sale. I love him but he's not a starter and I'm extremely worried about him. He's not gonna be a starter this season impossible broken leg and acl injury in 3 years. He's not played for 3 seasons. Predicted teams for next season with Fofana are way off bro no way he's fit enough to start. As for Tosin I rather this than some 20 year old CB for 80mil. He starts from day one that why we're wrapping it up early so he can give us security and be in pre season. He starts immediately or he would not sign

I hope we finally have a good season like the 22/23 season this season had a great start, horrible second half and overall a dreadfull season,we probably have to sell Clarke but with the right signings, especially would like someone of age that could lead this team to promotion with experience cause this team is very young and inexperienced at the same time but with great potential
avatar
Noß playing in bundesliga 2 I forget what team he's at think he was at Gladbach or Freiburg previously. R. Vata from Celtic will be the next Irish lad to go abroad bologna from Italy very interesting Young CB from Udinese is Irish too. Hard to think of any one else

Interesting that you would use your IQ as a point of reference in giving a player your preferred rating.
avatar
a guy having 55 iq with a potential of 64. Imagine 😂
avatar
used to be one of his biggest ones but his time of greatness is over. terrible fit to work with a young squad, terrible fit to work within the current sporting structure, terrible brand of football to watch, and his tactics and style of play isn't effective at this level anymore.
avatar
what makes you so sure they sacked him? the announcement makes it sound like Poch decided to walk (already hinted it in a press conference) and the club is trying to save face by claiming it was a mutual decision. I'm guessing that Poch wanted to keep Trevoh and Gallagher, sell some of the new signings he didn't fancy, and replace them with some more experienced players. Instead, he saw the club refuse to renew Gallagher - his captain for most of the year - plan to sell Trevoh, and agree to sign another teenager for a fee rising up to 60m euros, so he said fuck it, I'm out.
avatar
Am i the only one who actually thought poch was the right guy? I mean he came to an hostile enviornment, with 200890 new players, all youngsters without any chemistry and managed to create a really decent team that finished the season in great momentum and form, bringing them back to european football. On top of that half his squad was literally injured, he played the whole season without nkunku and with the bum jackson as his only striker.
avatar
His arrogance ruined his international career
avatar
Your league is filled with foreigners who don't give a toss about England or your values, but you only get uppity when it's an Irishman.
avatar
Matic didn’t wear a poppy and no one cares, but when an Irish person does it it’s different to yous int it, he shouldn’t have to wear a poppy especially coz of his past experiences

Ok WW1 and Ireland talk my favourite. They volunteered from 2 effectively private armies. The Irish volunteers and the Ulster volunteers. Both armies were established as mobile protection forces to implement home rule in the case of the Irish volunteers, or oppose home rule in the case of the Ulster volunteers, both sides engaged in gunrunning prior to WW1 & Ireland was set to erupt into a civil war prior to the outbreak of WW1. Ireland was set to gain limited self governance, Home Rule in 1914, WW1 but an effective end to that. With the war on there was a divide in the Irish volunteers who mainly joined and fought in the war for two reasons; 1. Education and tactical training in military affairs, which would prove invaluable during the Irish war of independence. Tom Barry and Richard Mulcahy being prime examples of this & 2. As a result of the 1913 strike and lockout many Irish men required a fixed steady wage to provide for their families, the army offered that. Led to the phrase "taking the king's shilling", meaning they didn't care about the politics just the money. The volunteers who didn't join felt that if they fought for the crown they'd be ultimately betrayed by not gaining a United Ireland under home rule, that Ireland would be partitioned and the British would break all there promises, they were right. The Ulster volunteers were also betrayed by the British government but to a lesser extent and were satisfied that there was partition in place protecting their place in Ireland. As you say there was no conscription in Ireland, due in part to the universal boycott of any plans to implement it in Ireland, this was boycott and dissent had the backing of the Irish Parliamentary Party (Home Rule) Sinn Fein (Socialist Republican wanting an Independent Ireland) Labour Party (Democratic Socialists) and the Ulster Unionist Party (Anti Home Rule) Now today nobody in the Republic of Ireland has a problem honouring those who sacrificed so much during WW1 for the self determination of small nations, Ireland included. James McClean has had no issue with remembrance for WW1 or WW2, he's stated that on numerous occasions. McClean's issues with remembrance comes as a result of violence which arose in his home city which was driven by the denial of the basic human rights, including the right to vote unimpeded, the right to practice religion safely and the right to own and live in property safely, all of which was created by a gerrymandered, discriminatory ethno-state led by the UUP. Given that the poppy celebrates the same soldiers and paramilitaries (B-Specials) that killed innocent civilians in his home town, McClean cannot wear a poppy as it is viewed as a mark of disrespect to those lives lost in nationalist communities. It's akin to me saving babies from a burning building but then killing everyone on your street then asking you to celebrate all my life's achievements, that act of violence included, by making you wear a badge of my choice. Now the IRA which emerged during the 1970's and lasted until 1998 and the signing of the Belfast agreement was purposely established to fight those injustices of the time and to counter other domestic British terror groups such as the UDA, UVF, and UFF which were engaged in pogroms against members of the nationalist community, it's from this that you get the bombing, kidnapping and torture some of which was a product of collusion between terror groups, British intelligence and the British state. So now that you have some context, you may understand that McClean is not a disgrace, he's simply a product of surroundings, shaped and influenced by his own and others in his communities shared experiences and therefore shouldn't be punished for his political or social outlook on life, as he's been driven to them by the state (UK of GB &NI) he's lived in all his life. If you get it great! If you don't that's fine too, but don't be so quick to judge.

May all his critics fall off their towers of pallets.

McKenna, De zerbi and Michel😭 For what reason are they good? watch football mate.
avatar
No manager would’ve done better with the players we had, I’d put my entire savings on that. Half of our best player were injured for most of the season. I dont know how long some of you have watched football to know when the manager is bad or its the team. Look at Barca and United, that’s an example of a bad manager at work.
avatar
Please dont get De Zerbi..Im sick and tired of doing business with that club. MOVE along and try something different. Gonna be another Potter or worse when he comes.

I'm actually sick of this "new" Chelsea. Absolutely bonkers to have Poch departing. Yes we finished 6th but there has definitely been improvements since last season and when you consider the injuries and the lack of experience, finishing in the top four is unrealistic. Maybe it's a case that Poch decided to walk, either way the club is likely sell the likes of Gallagher and Chalobah who ended up being key players. Why would any manager want to stay when it's become a small club mentality where we sell for pure profit. The fact that it's reported that we will now identify a "younger" manager is just again another sign of the owners stupidly. I would have 100 per cent kept Poch in charge for at least one more season, stability is key and already we have restarted the circus for the summer.
avatar
Poch was never my favorite, I have said on many occasions that I genuinely hate seeing him in the locker room and dugout. Performances should mean a lot though, and it's a fact that he had us 3rd on points the last 15 games of the season and that we have looked dominant the past few games. Removing the guy the players were fighting for and some of the lads were excelling under just invites more uncertainty and disrupts the environment of a team that was being built that was necessary to not look like horseshit anymore. We're almost definitely going to recede now this next season because it's pretty impossible for a new guy to come in and learn everything over night to have an instant impact.
avatar
The moment Poch decided to stand up for himself, they do this. This board is looking for another Graham Potter who will bend over to all their outrageous demands, we back to square one watch the players pay no attention to the new coach.
avatar
Thinking about it again maybe poch resigned him self? Idk why I see him at either united or Bayern now
avatar
It's difficult to believe that the owners aren't purposely working against the club. The owners have no damn clue what they're doing and feel that their egos getting hit whenever a manager they hire to train players doesn't automatically go along with them, even though the manager has a better idea of what is good for the team. (They better not mess up Cobham)
avatar
Yeah you’re right, so many people are screaming for Tuchel Conte De Zerbi Jose etc but they are definitely NOT going to do that they’re gonna get a young unproven one like Ipswich manager
avatar
Don’t fix something that isn’t broken can also be said if somethings going well don’t change it, it was going well with Poch, I’ve seen player interviews they are all happy to play for him and said he’s getting the best out of them, not like Potter and Lampard where they just weren’t motivated to play for a low level coach. Good luck attracting any decent players or getting high profile players like Nkunku and Enzo playing out of their skin for a fucking championship manager The thing is these dumb ass owners probably only remember the complaints from last year and early season when we weren’t happy, so they think 6th place isn’t good enough and have shit the bed, but if they paid attention they would know the fan base is happy with how much we’ve improved, and the poor season was mostly down to injuries. Since everyone was now happy and settled with and key players returning from injury, on top of the good form this year we could have continued to cook next season. But no, these dumbasses wanna throw another spanner in the works and shake everything up to square one again. If Poch has left then look at an ELITE manager, not fucking manager of Stuttgart and and Ipswich
avatar
I can already see Poch signing with Bayern and us finishing with someone unproven like McKenna, selling Connor to buy someone useless/injured/overpriced and board calling it a "process"
avatar
He’s one of the best midfielders rn

Shit bait mate
avatar
I’m not a Chelsea fan, but yes he’s redeemed himself and had a good season. I acc watch football

That league title double choke got to you huh

I really like the way you play atm. If nkunku comes back fit you can be a contender
avatar
I’m not surprised there was no red for that Cucurella smack down and Reece was sent off for kicking out. But if Reece’s red is due to “violent conduct” then it’s just illogical. Both instances were filled with intent, but Semenyo’s was clearly the more likely to cause serious injury
avatar
Still an overrated club tbh, 5 different titles won only by a point in the final day of each season with 115 cheating charges and unlimited player spend
avatar
He’s probably Chelsea’s most improved player from the start of the season. He’ll probably never reach Kante levels defensively, but his passing and technical abilities can be better than Kante’s over time. The money might have been well spent long term.

130 M if he keeps playing like today against Brighton during his 8 year contract, Caicedo might be even cheap.
