You know a player is progressing when people keep shifting the goal-posts. Like you said started off being compared to Williams, to Greenwood, and now to Foden. At 22, the only way the trend is going is upwards. Rival fans can either choose to accept it or cry about it.

I just like how he has evolved as a player. When he started out as a left back people were comparing him with Brandon Williams, after he moved to RW he was compared with Mason Greenwood. Last season people were saying Rashford is better than him and this season everyone’s saying Foden is better than him. Every year he’s compared to a different albeit better player and that means something. He may not be better than Foden at the moment but the matter of the fact is this - he plays and performs every season. He wasn’t as good as last season sure but his end product is still there - still getting goals and assists. The fact he’s compared to a better player every season means that his levels are improving every year. He has that mentality to want to improve every season and he is only going to get better. Excited to see what kind of player he will be in his prime.
