End of Season review: Goalkeepers: Foster - 80/80 Been surprisingly erratic since restart, with some great and terrible performances. Think 80 OVR is a fair reflection of his ability, and certainly let down by an terrible defence ahead of him. Gomes - 75/75 Don't really mind where he is as he will likely be retiring anyway. Should have had leadership trait though. Bachmann - 69/74 Had a poor showing in the cup following a strong spell on loan in Scotland last year. Think he would do fine though with a run of games should Foster leave but not entirely convinced. Full backs: Femenia - 75/75 A poor Season from him. Very weak on ball and defensively whilst limited capability going forward this year. His pace needs to be jumped up by 10 in both Accel and Speed but reduced defensive stats and strength. Not for a lack of trying though. Janmaat - 76/76 Looked far more rounded before his Season ending injuries. Masina - 75/79 Needs better Accel and Speed to (Low 70's and Mid 70's respectively) with better jumping. Otherwise, not massively wrong. Holebas - 75/75 Not seen at all this year. Looked painfully slow when he did. Mentality is still there though. Centre backs: Kabasele - 76/77 Has been one of our most disappointing defenders given his capability. His positional awareness is his Achilles heel more than the tackling aspect. Dawson - 75/75 Got what we paid for. Strong threat in the air and really should have got more goals than he scored this year. Defensively questionable but not surprising. Championship quality defender. Cathcart - 74/74 For years he has been under rated massively and should have been 77 - 78 OVR, but has fallen off a cliff this year to his current OVR. Perhaps a good pre-season will get him back to where he should be, but I don't know. Mariappa - 71/71 Good squad option who is always fit and able to do a solid job, but not Premier League quality at all. Spencer-Adams - 62/74 He didn't have a bad showing in the cup but certainly not going to seriously challenge our back 4 either. Think he has future in and up to Championship level though if he gets game time somewhere to show it. Central Midfield: Doucoure - 78/81 Has been one of our biggest let downs this year, gone missing frequently. Feel like in hind sight he should have left last year as he looked off the pace all Season which would have suited both parties. Capoue - 80/80 One of our best CM's and greatly missed in final 2 games. Incredible technique and Top 8 Quality. Hughes - 79/84 Has grown into one of our best players and developed into a leader on the pitch with his work rate and quality. I will be amazed if we keep him for the Championship. Chalobah - 75/79 Has looked like the Chalobah of old more, but his limited game time makes it hard to give a proper judgement, feel he would do well in a full Championship Season. Cleverley - 74/74 Has looked off the pace all Season. Not lack of effort but lacked the quality we've seen before. Quina - 70/82 Needs far better ball control and dribbling. Otherwise not far off. Dele-Bashiru - 63/77 Is not correctly rated at all. Should be far more rounded, leaning towards attacking than defensive quality but decent balance of two. Wingers: Sarr - 80/88 I've said it already which is he will be a World Class winger. He needs game time to sort out flaws still in his game as he is still raw (Mis control receiving it, decision making) but I rate him higher than Richarlison when he was here. Deulofeu - 81/82 Was finally getting into form when his Season ending injury came. Was arguably biggest reason why we are now relegated as he is a game winner and takes pressure off Sarr who was then marked out of game more easily. Pereyra - 77/78 Has looked disinterested all year, if not for longer. Has the technical skill but not the heart. Feel a move will see a better version of him appear. Pussetto - 75/79 Very hard working winger who I think will do well if he can secure a starting spot. Should be RM/ST/CF as he is a winger primarily, whilst he can play both as a striker and then as a second striker as well. Penaranda - 71/76 Feel that if he can get game time somewhere he can show his ability more. Looked decent in the cup games he played in. Strikers: Deeney - 75/75 Abysmal showing with a goal per minute ratio of over 400 mins without penalties. Has apparently been managing a long term injury which then asks the question as to why we weren't planning on having a suitable replacement lined up, or sell Okaka to Udinese given this issue. Welbeck - 78/78 Has looked up to speed since the restart, with strong performances each time. Hopefully over worst of injury re-occurrences. Gray - 73/73 Has looked devoid of confidence when playing an impact sub role, often with no time to do much. A victim of our own squad planning as much as his own failings. Poor ball control but willing runner. Pedro - 72/85 WHY HAS HE NOT BEEN PLAYING? WHY HAS HE NOT BEEN PLAYING? 4* SM a must. Success - 70/74 Has looked appalling for years now. Hasn't looked to have developed if not flat out regressed. Loanees (Where comfortable giving own opinion): Dahlberg - 68/79 Highly rated by club, but needs game to give proper review. Glimpses have looked promising but few and far between his visible game time. Estupinan - 76/83 Superb modern fullback, one of Europe's biggest surprises. Will not stay with us for next Season. Wilmot - 70/82 Had an excellent Season with Swansea, and with his promising cameos before then with us I feel he will be a genuine Premier League defender before too long. Nailed on starter for us next Season I think. Sema - 74/74 Has had a good Season for Udinese, playing across most positions including the wide side of a midfield 3 at times. Hernandez - 75/82 Will likely be part of our squad this year Suarez - 74/85 Has had a very good Season for Zaragoza. Will be surprised if he is with us next Season. I know we’re in a bad place right now, and I have commented and speculated that we might be going down the same road as AC Milan. But come to think of it, the future may be brighter than many of us (or at least I thought). If we get someone like Font as our president, who has the right philosophy and who has a plan for the future, I believe we’ll be a dominant side for another 20 years at least. We already have plenty of young superstars; Fati, de Jong, Puig, Pedri, Trincao and a potential centerback pair of Araujo and Garcia. Of course I might be too positive, but hope is important

I used the youth academy, I searched players on southamerica and on league two and now i am in premier league with a "solid" team that tries their best to stop being relegated. Teams like this are the ones that I love to use on a career mode

If Villa do stay up and keep Grealish, they really need a set-piece specialist and a defender like Craig Dawson just to give them an attacking option next season. Grealish wins so many fouls yet Villa never manages to capitalise on the field position it gives them.
