There is no way you can get a better home grown back up CB than Gomez

I honestly think we won’t sign anyone else before the window ends but looking to the future, we definitely need a center half and another box-to-box midfielder. I don’t really understand people’s obsession with a left-footed center half. Scrap this copycat Pep Guardiola formation and go back to the 4-3-3, then sign a proper center half. Get someone comfortable in buildup play, fast, tall, strong in the air and in challenges, with good positional awareness and reading of the game. Would have loved Kim Min Jae this summer, De Ligt in 2019, or Botman in 2020 but we’re in this predicament due to our awful squad planning.

probably not, but until last season he was actually struggling at Benfica. He is phenomenal at some parts of the game (defending) but really average in rest. Still would take him, would do the job we need a six to do

I miss the days Jurgen & co used to take some risk in transfers. Robertson, Gini & even Salah. It doesn't even need to be expensive🤷‍♂️
