Well undeserved is the right word when you put it into context. Halaand, Vini, KDB play in tougher leagues and advanced well into the Champions League stages. Halaand broke records and won a treble, like come on now. When Modric won the Ballon D Or, he was the best player in the WC and won the Champions League, yet his win was called undeserved… so why should Messi’s differ? I understand that you like him, and I do too, but what’s the essence of an award if its a popularity contest.

I think "undiserved" is not the right word. nearly every player in the top 20 deserved the Ballondor. Vini, Haaland, KDB, ... Imo Messi still is the best individual player on the planet. Like from his pure Ability. So I don´t think it´s undeserved even though I would have handed it to KDB this season.

Why is here so much hate? even if you like Ronaldo more or think he is the greatest ever or Ronaldinho or Maradona or who ever was the greatest for you. Just except that Messi is a pure genius and a gift to watch. Don´t say Ronaldo isn´t a joy to watch, he is as well, this passion and hunger even in his late 30s is also a real joy.
