I think if the fee for Trafford is low enough, we'll take him and keep Pope as first choice. I think it's a risk as he already didn't like diving to his left and now that he hurt that shoulder a 2nd time it could get worse. Trafford had an awful season but is very young. Has a chance of fucking another season but can we even afford Mamardashvili and then go big on a RW?
avatar
Should have been called instead of Raya or Remiro
avatar
Hope he joins you lot!
avatar
He’s coming to the real united 🖤🤍
avatar
Good point, swap svanberg and dejan But i still think hien is better centrally, as he isnt so good on the and is more of a tank in defence
avatar
Well my father was very lucky to see Alan Sherear and Ginola together, he also saw the worst, but this last decade his favorite players were Gutierrez (he wanted this one for River Plate), Trippier, Yedlin, Cabaye, and lastly and Not least Ben Arfa, well the latter did something to my father that I had never seen, when Hatem was on the field something incredible was going to happen, I watched Newcastle with him at that time every morning, Ben Arfa did feats like that of beating my older brother alone, 8 to 1 in FIFA, that's why I will always carry this club with me, for making me feel like the best player in the world with it. inter well at least with inzaghi who has improved a lot and with marotta they are a machine, i hope with oaktree we can make 2 or 3 steps to the right side, the good thing about the banter era was when he finished, the good thing about that was that handanovic was Captain. That it
avatar
Holm is a good express train on the right, and with Hjalmar Ekdal behind him he can go on offensive trips without having to worry about the cover behind him
avatar
It’s a steal imo, if Caicedo is worth 120m
avatar
It's never not been toxic for me tbh. Like sure, there is a few good eggs in there. But a lot are very reactionary, and unless they get what they want, they throw a hissy fit. Reminds me of the dark days, where we'd lose a game, and then suddenly it was the end of the world like lmao.
avatar
Indeed. The reactions to Staveley’s comments on the Australia trip is but one case in point 😒
avatar
Our right backs are shit so why not
avatar
Yeah you guys love him, was sad seeing him being benched at Leicester
avatar
Called to the Euros !!

https://x.com/hk_kickers/status/1794285309708091427?s=46&t=ctviFXCcdcq3BV85HqxADw I think its a good news for HK

Mbappe clear. Young Ibra clear
avatar
Missing out on Europe is a major setback for our project. I wouldn’t expect us to bring in a midfielder, for example, unless someone comes in for Longstaff. Meanwhile I’m afraid we’ll bring in DCL instead of someone younger because Howe is reportedly a fan, and you know how he likes keeping those old washed up players around for morale or whatever 😒

Guau, siempre es un placer hablar y interactuar con vos querido adam, at least you guys have a solid base in the team, this season with that amount of injuries is tough, that tonali suspension was shocking i cant believe some kind of people be so stupid, like say before i wish the best of luck this season my father is big fan yours, so most likely always see newcastle matches but he dosent know the problem of injuries, thanks again, take care adam good night.
avatar
rigg going to germany too i think, his dad wants first team wages for him already. Scared a lot of clubs off.
avatar
doesn't want to move to another English team reportedly, would likely end up at Dortmund it seems. I would be surprised to see us sign any midfielder unless Bruno leaves, too many other problems to fix first.
avatar
Ours was prob £2mill and a packet of crisps lmao. But I'm sure we will, but the trouble comes is dealing with what we have compared to what they have. Southampton seemingly of recent, have developed a liking for City's young players. Which isn't surprising, given honestly. It's why I'm so hype around Harrison, if he turns out to be a wonderkid, that'll be massive for us. If we continue investing in right areas of the youth, I'm sure we could pull off these deals. Not that these younger players are head and shoulders above likes of Fraser, Lewis, Hendrick etc. But you'd rather put your money on them, than the crop we have in that area.
avatar
Bongiorno, i have a question? What happend in this team, and what player you are linked? Because this team needs at least 4 or 3 players, i wish the best of luck of you guys
avatar
Should come to Newcastle
avatar
You're not wrong except Todibo won't be a Maguire backup. Maguire already is a 3rd choice CB for United. He only got so many starts due to all the injuries this season.
avatar
Exactly. Plus it’s also a chance to win every European competition.
avatar
I’d take it
avatar
Aye Southampton. Now give us a cheeky £30mill for Fraser right? Haha. It'll prob be £5mill or something lower I bet.
avatar
Would rather keep Wilson
avatar
Rather tell Everton to do one oh god no. DCL would be Wilson 2.0. Would rather Solanke.
avatar
It's certainly not impossible to keep the both of them, or even one of them. We always assume the worst, and while it'd be understandable in sense of them stepping up to going to a CL consistent club. But as you say, they may know what we're building. So they may want to stay. If anything for me, cause of this, I'd ensure not to give Dummett or Ritche contracts, as we don't need them. If we're gonna show such, we need to remove those who aren't gonna do something for us in future.
avatar
I like to fantasize that our stars know what we are building and recognize that last year was beyond unlucky. Even with the injury crisis we were a sketchy handball call away from advancing in Europe and couldn’t catch a break in cup draws. However, the reality is that Bruno will certainly be tempted by an offer from City and I could see Isak being interested in going to Arsenal. Here’s hoping Eddie is able to talk these guys into staying another season while we make a truly special domestic run
avatar
The more I think about our season, the more I feel sad honestly. If we'd held on vs Liverpool, City, West Ham. We'd be comfy in 6th place damn.
avatar
They won't be our future, so why are we still keeping them around? Like, I love EH, and I get the importance of a united squad. But they're taking up two spots on a team sheet/squad, that could be filled with others. Which instead of being a 25 man squad, becomes a 23 man squad with those two in it. As for the loan players, I'd love it if we could do that. Hoping that Southampton win the play offs and give us some money for Fraser so that's one off the books. Hendrick for love of god don't give him a new deal. Lewis needs a new home. Hayden I weirdly still like, but would be ideal to move on. Watts is sadly in a hard place, cause of those around him. Ashby prob will go back out on loan I bet. Bondswell. I mean. With who we got now, will he get his chance? Doubt. Kuol needs to be given right place, and of course Minteh keep.
avatar
The one thing I'd say for the Summer, is that we need to be understanding of who's future, and who is past. I don't care if Dummett is good in the dressing room. Or if Ritchie makes a good burger. They're not good enough to be regular players in the PL any more. Much like 90% of that loan list on here needs to be gone. We're making good moves with the possible two free CB signings we're making. Actual good depth in cover. So we can ease Botman back in, and even Lascelles((Even if he could be a Summer 25 sell)) Keeping Bruno and Isak is key of course. But in general, we really need to shape the squad to be exactly that. A squad. Not a team where we have like 3-4 players that basically offer nothing unless we're like 3-0 up or something.
avatar
It’s a trophy we haven’t won, it would still be handy experience for this youthful team and it qualifies us for Europa League. Would be stupid not to take it
avatar
Conference league. Let’s say we have another poor szn next yr and make 7th place or under. If we win conference we can play Europa league
avatar
Haaland to me, or least in this team, will either always be a 0/10, or he'll know where the back of the net is. He's a quality player, but it's quite clear that when he's not in the game, it's as you say, he's a ghost. He's one of the best goal scorers for sure, but many of games he could vanish like this, which really puts into question if he can be a leading man in a team.
avatar
Roy Keane calling him a League 2 striker has never been more accurate
avatar
I think the waiting to see if we get europe is for giving contracts to dummet and ritchie, kelly and tosin are coming regardless.
avatar
Hopefully it means we finally get Ritchie and Dummett the hell out of our club
avatar
Swear to God Sheffield United might have gotten a result off of Citeh today. Shockingly bad
avatar
Gvardiol might have played a 0/10 this game. That was one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from a player
avatar
Bruno F. was incredible in the first half. He reminds me of Longstaff in the way he plays well when his team is doing good, but then struggles when the team plays poorly
avatar
chelsea to conference, newcastle no europe. On the whole I think it's probably better to not have those games in order to focus on the league, but it's a chance at a trophy and the club needs to get used to mid week games. In the end we only have ourselves to blame though for bottling a lot of easy games this season.
avatar
Chelseas form improved while we decided to take our eye off the ball in typical newcastle season fashion
avatar
Gvardiol, enjoy Ipswich Town pal. Embarrassing
avatar
we should consider fitting him into the starting 11 for one or two games next year.
avatar
I don't disagree, but he is not right for us anymore. Under Rafa he was perfect, as the defence would sit in a Mid block, but now its a high line, and he just looks lost. His age certainly doesn't help either
avatar
I agree, your football is much different, than it was, when he was in his prime
avatar
Seems fairly decent odds. Pep will probably still put an offer in he's lost it though (Bruno)
avatar
Odds at the bookies?
avatar
The DCL part made me laugh out loud, they absolutely want £30mil and won’t budge on it

avatar
I gotta admit that Olise to Chelsea bugs me, considering they haven’t even named a new manager yet and we’d all but guarantee him first team football…I suppose the lure of London and the big wages is what it is 😒
avatar
This one subbed in during the match: https://x.com/Magpie24_7/status/1794095596078256268
avatar
I hope you’re right tbh. I definitely wouldn’t like signing DCL and am reluctant to sign Bowen given the English tax we’d certainly pay and high wage I’d rather spend on someone younger with a higher ceiling
avatar
if Bruno goes I think we'd go for Ederson, we've been scouting him for like 2 years and he's the type of midfielder Howe likes.
avatar
Yeah, I understand the profit argument. But I think Howe likes Longstaff and considering Bruno has a high chance of leaving and Eddie probably doesn't want a big turnover in the squad, I don't see him leaving. Wouldn't cry if he did leave though.
avatar
I’m fine with him not playing guys if there was a genuine concern about injuries; my issue was the decision to play that additional game in the first place
