Diaz-Gakpo-Salah
avatar
I'm the same for now!! I want Nunez in there so bad though lol, but he's only getting goals if he's in the box with service. His overall link up as a LW dosen't flatter and if he's down the middle with someone like Diaz on the left the fit just pressures back lines, as opposed to playing around them (If that even makes sense lmao). I think players like Doak, Elliott and AMA or Szbos' could get the best from him. Just because in terms of role he's far better being simplified as a 'finisher of moves'.
avatar
I actually agree with that at least for right now though each player offers something different Gakpo link up play, Diaz dribbling, Jota finishing, Nunez pace and power.

That's the most important news

From what I have read and heard Fab has been extremely respectful throughout this process. Cant blame him for setting his family for life after winning it all with us.
avatar
If there’s one thing I’ve liked about our business in recent years, It’s the fact we’ve poached many highly rated talents from other clubs.

I know you're trolling, but ironic given your flag

I know you all waited for that day. PositiveFrench here we go
avatar
This is insane With the exits of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia, Liverpool will have cut over £900,000 per week from their wage bill this summer.
avatar
Our backups are ass. Our back 5 including Ali (Once we get a DM) is probably one of the best itw when everyone is fit.
avatar
Was key to us getting back to winning titles. If he goes, we'll miss a good player. But it is true he's been poor for an entire season and 40m is a good deal.
avatar
You have to resort to insults because your brain in the size of a pea, and you simply have no evidence to prove why or how Fabinho is currently better than all the names I have mentioned 👍
avatar
Lmfao u have to be stupid. What top 10 team PL apart from Liverpool does Fabinho currently start for? Kamara>Fabinho Caicedo>Fabinho Norgaard>Fabinho Casemiro>Fabinho Zakaria>Fabinho Palhinha>Fabinho Thomas>Fabinho Bruno G>Fabinho Rodri>Fabinho
avatar
Probably one of the best manager's achievement ever. No one could have turn him into what he had become apart from Klopp. Doesn't have the natural talent of other LB of this decade (Marcelo, Davies...) or the physical attributes of the others (Hernandez) but really maximized every inch of his abilities to be the best LB of the last 5 years
avatar
https://twitter.com/eurofootcom/status/1682325896106070017?t=54fAl3mQpXagbusj1WaNiA&s=19 Ngl, the Gvardiol deal collapsing and RB Leipzig basically blaming a journalist for leaking the deal is low-key funny.
avatar
Signing Henderson to that contract extension was the worst thing that Klopp has ever personally decided at Liverpool. Everyone else at the club was opposed to it for good reason. Glad the club is finally free from those shackles. Now time is time for the club to cover for the managers mistake and make another statement signing in midfield
avatar
He is just like us fr. https://twitter.com/Lfc__vision/status/1681746011742502912
avatar
And you know what? I hope we never bring that dude. We're no longer any player's sloppy seconds, I hope he flops so hard in Madrid
avatar
That's not even skipping past him. Man could have gone for a leisurely stroll and still would have gone past him. Fab doesn't even try to stop him there.
avatar
I’m 99% sure it’s going to be Lavia and I’m going to be over the moon with that signing. He’s got probably the highest potential of any DMF on the market.
avatar
Nah fuck that drama, we should just go for Tchouameni instead, Real Madrid might need to sell.
avatar
https://twitter.com/neews_sports/status/1679551400743673869 ... hope that is true
avatar
Take it from someone who knows, selling your whole Midfield makes it really hard to replace
avatar
I mean we play a very high line and he's superb, probably the best CB we've ever had, also with the one with the highest ceiling. In the 2nd game vs Sturm Graz this season he sprinted back to our goal after a corner and caught their forward last second, that was crazy. When he needs to go fast, he goes really fast. I think Solet is better technically but Pavlovic is more physical and hard working, while Solet doesn't take things as seriously, especially in the league.
avatar
just hand on a transfer request bro and come to anfield
avatar
He’s being held hostage 😭 #freecolwill
avatar
his long diagonal passes aren't superb, but also not that common in our system for the CB to play. He plays a lot of through passes where he dribbles into an open space beforehand.
avatar
Romero is much more aggressive and shorter. Both are bad comparisons
avatar
Let's talk about the real gem on that page though. https://s3a.sofifa.net/b1eac45cfcaf5cd3b8859425900555c668fdca86.png
avatar
I'm more worried about him having done damage and missing a large part of the preseason.
avatar
Colwill by miles.
avatar
Same here
avatar
I'm worried about that as well.
avatar
This is why decisions like these need to be taken out of Klopp's hands. I like Matip, but he's damn near finished.
avatar
Ffs no, we never learn
avatar
We said that about Milner too but they want to keep playing for the time being. This club is happy to pay big wages for bench cheerleaders
avatar
I will say it again, Thuram is not THAT guy. Yes he has a very good potential because his talent is rare (combo of pace, strenght and dribbling) but man the guy is inconsistent as hell. He looks good for about 20% of the game. He is very messy in his play and never dominates the 90 minutes of the game. Klopp can bring the best of him, I'm pretty sure of that but he would not be my first choice. I'm Lavia in.
avatar
Kinda getting tired of people dismissing the idea of getting Lavia because "we already have Bajcetic", they're frustrating claims as Doak's. Bajcetic had a terrible injury that makes him need a lot of competitive matches to get in shape again, probably won't be ready for preseason, and when he does comeback we don't know at what level he will be, he might be good or he might be terrible and suffer from second season syndrome. Bajcetic also showed his best moments when he could go forward with the ball instead of staying behind and guard the defense, so the shouts for him to be the next CDM are, for the moment, farfetched. Is due to this type of sentimentality that we're in the situation we're at, where instead of bringing new talented blood when we have the chance, we decide to stick with what we have and let rivals strengthen. Btw before you say anything, I rate Bajcetic but that isn't the behavior of a serious club. Top clubs manage to bring the best talents and balance everything out, the need of the youngster and the immediate future of the club, they don't stop reinforcing their needs "in hope" their youngsters fulfill their potential.
avatar
8 is a number with huge weight szoboszlai, hope you make a great season
avatar
Mudryk lmao The guy every Chelsea fan hyped up after 3 good touches in a 0-0 draw against Liverpool then did nothing the entire season and helped Chelsea be a bottom 5 goalscoring team
avatar
Midryk and Madueke are not more talented and are not even playing in his position But yeah they're consistently shit or injured

I love to see set piece and long shots specialist in this day and age. And we are getting one of the best in the world. MacAllister was signing I could've seen happening - but not Dominik. Lovely versatile player. I have already told I haven't followed football as closely recently cause of corruption and other problems related to the sport have made me disinterested. In saying that. I think our rebuild looks really interesting and I might start watching this team play next season. I haven't felt this excited about this team since the signing of Salah.
avatar
In an interview with FourFourTwo, Jota was asked whether Klopp actually blamed him for the hamstring injury. "He did, actually!" Jota replied. "I can't tell you what he said, but when he saw me the next day, he just pointed one finger at me... "For me, [the winner] was a great moment. I did score winners at Anfield in my first season [2020/21], but there was no crowd. Everybody was telling me, 'Oh, you've just scored a winner in front of the Kop - it would have been amazing if the fans were here'. I needed to wait a couple more years to actually get that feeling. Having that moment was really special - I'll remember it for a long time.
avatar
Yea it’s a much better system having a false 9 and quick player’s running in behind from out to in. It’s a good thing Gakpo looks like a brilliant Firmino replacement
avatar
All of them are linked with liverpool…
avatar
Romero has tricked the world into thinking he is anything other than a madman playing football by winning the WC. He is nowhere near the levels of alderweireld and vertonghen when they were best.
avatar
I support Liverpool too and I agree with you. Nunez is better on the left running in behind, And arriving one on one from the left where he can open his body up to finesse shot. Like the goal he scored against us before we bought him. Gakpo has the better link up play, Intelligence and vision to play in the middle
avatar
Fair enough but I think Diaz will be back next season and show why we forked nearly £50m for him Perfect Klopp player
avatar
OMG THANK YOUUUUU Even he came out and explained that but people still missquote it, is so frustrating to argue that online because people take that quote as like a fucking amendment
avatar
Coming from a spaniard too https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1670547934889353216%3Fref_src%3Dtwsrc%255Egoogle%257Ctwcamp%255Eserp%257Ctwgr%255Etweet&ved=2ahUKEwjulJOW_83_AhUcg4QIHdITCGUQglR6BAgLEAQ&usg=AOvVaw06Kx429AChESWmrImOfJLY

And that is fully deserved. Just look at how it works here. I was screaming for investment, going after underperforming players (Gini, Bobby, Hendo...) but because people only look at the results without having no long term vision, they were happy and I was the "negative" one. Also Liverpool fans (and management) have a huge underdog mentality. City have no problem benching players like Walker when they underperform while here Hendo has been ATROCIOUS for years and gets away with it. They sell their underperforming players without looking back at it and they get the results for it. Yes they do have money (but we do to) but their management is far better.
avatar
Laporte is leaving, they bring Gvardiol that’s what a club is supposed to do, even when you win everything you try to improve your team and bring more competition between players. But here, we should be happy and hope for something with Gomez as our best defensive option as a sub…
avatar
fab is finished mate, and he'll just got worse. In a perfect scenario we sell him now, but i dont think thats gonna happen
