Its just 23 right? Someone confirm?

Great match today and a fair result. Despite rooting for Germany, it was a joy to watch Frenkie De Jong doing his thing in the second half. This boy definitely knows how to play football.
avatar
To be fair, he had contact to Depay. In the end it is a 50/50 decision. I was surprised the Var interrupted the game as it wasn’t a fully wrong decision.
avatar
I think van Dijk, since he is the most experienced and in the last duels he also was the lcb in a 4atb. As for your second question, I'm not very sure yet. I think de Jong and Depay are 100% starting and Wijnaldum, Berghuis and Gakpo are very likely to start, but players like Koopmeiners and Danjuma are players who are very heavily knocking on the door. I'm thinking now a bit how spurs are playing: 5-2-3/3-4-3, with a false 9 (Kane/Depay) and wingers who are going deep and more to the middle (Son/Danjuma) with de Jong and Gini at cm. This is al speculation tho.
avatar
Holy... that's four! Everyone is phenomenal. Of course everyone's praising the attack (and rightfully so) but the build up from the defenders has also been great this game. And that midfield with Pedri-Busquets-FdJ is fantastic. Pedri-FdJ-Gavi has the potential to become the best club midfield for the next 10ish years, just spectacular
avatar
Imagine having a team so much better than Vitesse that not a single of their players would be in Roma's starting lineup and still Roma don't attack but defend as if they're facing a team that's better than them. Trash.

I think we owe someone an apology... https://s3a.sofifa.net/869d5dc551fc2307a362dfa6f38451c1cc1ca50f.jpg
avatar
Before it gets overshadowed: can be appreciate how well our left wing of Gavi - Frenkie - Alba worked? So many positional changes and creativity, while always having one of those stay back to provide defensive security. Masterclass move by Xavi to put Gavi there.

My brain hurts from this sentence structure.

I very much disagree. PSV had a youth mindset before Schmidt arrived. Since Schmidt has arrived PSV has brought in 4 players under the age of 25 (Drommel, Sangaré, Veerman, Fein) and 9 players that were (significantly) older (Zahavi, Götze, Ramalho, Vinicius, Propper, Van Ginkel, Mwene, Mvogo, Max). Its no secret that Schmidt is a tough negotiator in terms of the players he wanted signed. So most of these players (Zahavi, Götze, Mwene, Mvogo) wouldn't have been brought in if not for Schmidt. The idea of Schmidt reputation in Germany is at least 50% flawd. Some fans are still fan of his style of play especially at Salzburg. However ask any Leverkusen fan and they either hate him for his stubbornness or are quick to tell you that, even though leverkusen played nice, his stats at Leverkusen weren't impressive at all. The idea of him being highly regarded in Germany comes from 1 source in the AD newspaper, which was quickly copied by Voetbalzone, Voetbalprimeur and VI etc etc. That's how news is spreading. I'm not saying that I did not like him. However I am convinced the right coach could've gotten more out of this team. PSV has a very solid team at the moment. And we've lost all our important games over the past 2/3 seasons. During Cocu's era the team always managed to outperform their potential during the important games against Ajax, Atletico and during the end of the season. I see none of that now. I honestly believe Letsch can get more out of this team. Cocu and Fräser I would rather not see either (; but are names flown around lately
avatar
No offense, but apart from Karlson, Midtsjo and Wijndal, Vitesse has better players on every position than AZ.
avatar
avatar
Maybe Bazoer when he's on a free next year, but next summer is way too far ahead to know which positions will be improved/replaced.

Mertens, with Romero and Fofana as rotation options.
avatar
Such an underrated player. Deserve much higher stats 79/80
avatar
Really great match against Chelsea!
avatar
I think he will stay or he will move to mid table epl club to earn more money
avatar
Domgjoni won't replace Bazoer, hes simply not good enough. Oroz is also not good enough to replace Doekhi. Yapi will never replace Dasa, he's genuinely trash.
avatar
Domgjoni is indeed not going to replace Bazoer. Cornelisse I was impressed with when he was playing but I have no idea why Letsch prefer Hajek and Oroz now. Must be something in training cuz I don't think theyve been better in matches than Cornelisse has been.
avatar
I'm going to trust van Gaal in this one, you can say whatever you want about him, but he knows how to make it work. I believe he'll find a way
avatar
Some of the replacements are allready there. Domjoni for bazoer, oroz for doekhi, manhoef or yapi for dasa? Huisman or gboho for tannane. Baden for openda. Yes we need more players soon becouse allot of keyplayers will probably leave. I do believe baden, oroz, huisman, and Domjoni are decent replacements, but definetly not better. big Problem is sports left us on this critical transfer period for vitesse. Let's hope they got there eyes on new players allready and they get a decent technical director soon
avatar
Silva is extending, it`s just a matter of time they confirmed already.

No problem man! I was thinking about selling the players not exactly after this season, but in the next 2-3 years. First, let's focus on making the Champions League again, and then their value will increase and that's win-win for both PSV and the players. About the injuries, I mostly blame the medical staff. It is unacceptable and it has been going on for way too long. Especially in the case of Madueke, time after time it's another hamstring injury. I do not understand what's going wrong there, is it Madueke himself? Of course, that plays into it. But the staff has to recognize he has to recover more and maybe, just maybe, strengthen his muscle a lot more. Schmidt uses lots of data as info to the state of his players. So I don't know what is exactly going on with that, but it doesn't really prevent injuries from what I've seen so far. I also read that he also does ask the players how they feel before the match. Seeing that Madueke was so eager to play, he might have rushed himself too there. But yeah, the staff is mostly to blame here. I always have been pro-Schmidt, if that's what you want to call it. But the best option for now is to wait and see. Will PSV win the title? Small chance, but if it happens I would be delighted. Will PSV win the beker, would be nice but also not enough for PSV to keep him. Will PSV win the Conference League? If this happens, only then I'm satisfied that we got knocked out of the EL. So depending on what happens the rest of this season, Schmidt gets to stay or he leaves. If he does leave, I was thinking there are not that many competent Dutch coaches available. Except for Koeman, if he wants to do it I would encourage it. He knows the club and has experience in the job. Otherwise, I would think maybe try to pry away Slot from Feyenoord, if that can't happen we will have to look outside the borders I'm afraid. Also, first JdJ has to go. I'm not going to trust that man with PSVs future, bring back Brands who just left Everton. (Sorry for another long post, but I guess I had a lot to say and you're asking the right questions 😅)

UEFA sucking english teams again
avatar
We definitely need a backup for Sangaré, but we also need a better midfield partner for him. Van Ginkel, Pröpper and Guti are fine for the bench, but as starter they just lack some qualities. Drommel hasn't been as good as I would've expected, and I didn't have many expectations for him anyway... And RB we definitely a better option, same for left back by the way. All of this is hard to realise in just one year, so hopefully we start to build on a better squad in the next two-three years. And I don't think JdJ is the right man for this, so the first step is to replace him and also Schmidt if he doesn't deliver us the title this season. The players I expect to have made the first team by then from the youth teams are: Fofana, Antonisse, Sambo, Babadi, Van de Blaak and probably I'm forgetting someone. So they fill a ST, LW, RB, CAM spot (not really sure about all positions, but it's something like that). The biggest problem is where our money will be coming from, because every season we need to sell a player for a hefty price. So the players who are worth the most for us are Gakpo, Madueke and probably Sangaré. We need to sell at least two of them and that does hurt my soul. Anyways, where I'm trying to get at is that we need a squad overhaul and most importantly different people that lead the charge.
avatar
I thought it was mostly a tactical substitution as Madrid were sitting back a lot, and Dumfries isn't at his best when playing against that sort of defense. De Vrij is a great player for us but whoever played in his stead has done well. We have not missed him all that much, thankfully.
avatar
Ajax will be the team to avoid by anyone, i think they would give a hard time to Inter too and I wish they get exactly them. Juventus fans know what its like to underestimate them and Ajax are even better this year as they have a great finisher
avatar
Ajax is the definition of a TEAM. I think if they would have finshed 2nd, the big teams would have liked to avoid Ajax more than Man Utd or Inter. They can play on counter attacks as good as they can control the game by possesion. Dortmund is a team on similar level with us and Inter but Ajax smashed them. Antony can destroy any defence and Haller is on fire.
avatar
It takes much more time to get back to your top level after a injury that hes had than people realise. Even tho hes back and fully recovered from his injury, he will still need time to get to his past level. However, its easy to see that hes getting better and better for each game he plays, and its fair to say that there are no other CB`s out there that are as good as him now.
avatar
Ok he needs defending and physical upgrade, let me help you out EA, for starters what the f*** is 79 strength? 83 minimum, where did u get 79? fifa=troll?! or 79 jumping? come on lets be real here, just fix these dumb stats and you will have the 87 that he should be! without even touching the defending! although Standing tackle should be 89
avatar
Literally a better squad than you lined up for the other 5 matches. Just because of that, you have no excuse really. https://twitter.com/thespursweb/status/1468607843926523905
avatar
Your board fucking sucks, for real. Playing 5 out of 6 matches with the second or even third team, and then when it comes down to one match, they start crying for not having enough players. They could have thought of this going in to the previous five matches, and you would have been through by now. Unbelievable that the UEFA goes along with such bullshit. You played yourself. I don't think Vitesse or Rennes will go with it..
avatar
It’s so funny to read the media about Frenkie. They expect him to be the Messias from this Barca. A midfielder that defend, to score goals and to dominate the midfield on his own. Even trainers expect it from him (Valverde and Xavi sometimes) But why did Barca buy this player then? When he was the best midfielder in the world he scored and assisted maybe 3 times. He was the main man from the back that started the Ajax machine. He played even as a cb in a 433 sometimes. Its very painful to watch him for Ajax fans/fans that understand Frenkie nowadays
avatar
Why are people jealous of our success man 😓
avatar
I'm a Spurs fan, we got so lucky back then. If today we are going against Ajax, I don't think we will give Ajax a decent fight, Ajax most likely will dominate the game.
avatar
God they are just so f*cking good. 6 wins from 6 in any kind of group is unreal quality. says a lot about the quality of PSV and Feyenoord as well who are really pushing them in Eredivisie this season
avatar
What position are Arsenal in.
avatar
I don't blame the players tbh. Ajax are playing beautiful football, it's understandable that they'd rather watch them instead of trying to win the fucking game
avatar
My thing with Koeman are his substitutions, he makes them late or wrong. Yesterday he should've taken Pedri off, didn't like Lenglet entering when he's awful, plus that was a scared move. The game was dead and controlled at 75 minutes, the subs should have been made earlier, that was yesterday. When we're down he just makes the opposite, taking CBs or Rbs out to put forwards, even if thre is no sense in the substitution. I like the way we play under him, but his improvements during the match are poor, that's why I don't rate him that much, he needs to get significantly better . The Puig thing is a problem for most fans, but I don't see the fuzz honestly, of course he could play him more, but I believe there's something we don't see about that, because besides Setién (who's the definition on idiot) no coach played him that much, only in Barca B, maybe his physique, maybe his attitude, I don't know, plus Koeman was very clear that he should go on loan to play and he refused, what did he expect?
avatar
His subs are bad, but for the rest he is doing fine with a squad that obviously still has to grow alot.
avatar
In Koeman's defense, he never claimed otherwise. He always conceded Riqui is a good player, but not the profile Koeman's looking for (not enough physical, doesn't have much of a defensive work rate). We might disagree with his decision to not play him (I sure do), but a manager has to have the freedom of making his own team selection. Riqui needs to leave on loan to save his career. We can't criticize the manager when he repeatedly asked Riqui to leave on loan but Riqui ignored, and now we are shocked that he's not playing him which he always said he was going to do.
avatar
English people literally can't discuss football with someone from another country without adopting a condescending tone, brimming with overbearing self-importance. Throw in a few outdated national stereotypes (e.g. sheep, or pizzas) & a bit of war fetishization for good measure, if things get lairy you throw a few plastic chairs and fight the local police, and that's the entirety of English football "banter" in a nutshell - then you lose the game of football, and suddenly you look very stupid. England fans are masters at not being able to take what they give.
avatar
International tournaments shouldn’t be played in England for a good amount of years. Most shameful behavior, I’ve ever seen. It’s embarrassing for the whole world of football.
avatar
It's not a losers medal it's a runners-up medal. 2nd place in the tournament is a big achievement.
avatar
Taking off their medals and throwing them on the floor was kinda childish...that kind of mentality has to change if they want to make it to another final and win a major competition.

English "gentlemen" once again. Booing during the danish anthem. I hope they beat the shit out of your poor fans

I have made a squad for jong Ajax and Ajax u18. I have already added some of the bigger talents. Let me know if need to make some changes to some player or if you know a fair rating for a player. Jong Ajax: https://sofifa.com/squad/1008488 Ajax u18: https://sofifa.com/squad/1008484

Considering we froze against Scotland i doubt you’ll get that wish.

I personally think we will lose to Germany, but I think on your day you can beat them, I'm hoping you get to the final if that's the case :)

Overrated prem tax Only grealish and saka are propper ballers in this team

Don’t want to be that guy, but it’s not coming home

I told Long Time ago to everybody that this Beast is the Most underrated Player. Again He Shows in the Euro what a fucking Player He is. 87/87 Minimum. 86/86 Long Time ago. He has IT all technique, pace , goalscoring Quality , working Like a horse and Defensive Quality and His physic ist great. 87/87 EA ITS Not funny anymore.
avatar
Am I the only dutchie thinking he's quite good for our midfield? Like don't get me wrong he's terrible and non-dutch on the ball, but he's the only midfielder who's familiar with the 532/352 system + he's like a worse version of kante.
avatar
If klopp actually used him right he would have been 87 rated by now
