with davies always trying to attack 100% of the time and centre backs being really good with the ball, boey is perfect for the back 4 of bayern because in the contrary of davies he excels at defence, so it balances the shape of the team, the structure of how bayern attacks with the ball. so for RB bayern always wanted someone who is physical and good at recoveries, tackles and all that defensive work, and boey is both one of the best at what he does and also quite cheap compared to other alternatives. fantastic work for them

Personally I still hate the idea of signing someone who covers both. If we are serious, we would sign a proper back up RB and a proper 4th choice CB. Mixing player profiles and positions is so unnecessary when we already lack depth in the squad.
