Manager: Ruben Amorim
Following a short stint with Leverkusen, littered with silverware, Amorim embraced a new project, with the mission of revitalizing a decaying Spurs side that had failed to achieve its ambition of Champions League qualification for the past two seasons, under Scott Parker.
In north London, Amorim was reunited with a number of his former Sporting CP title-winning players, and implemented his trademark 3-4-2-1 system with immediate improvements to individual players, as well as overall playing quality.
