VCB – Inacio: First of all – get a quality left-sided defender. For a defensive cover for Robbo and for a long term partner for Konate/Quansah.
Alternatives: Schlotterbeck, Bastoni, Hincapie, Colwill, Lukeba, Theate, N'dicka

RW – Diaby: Get left footed width and cover for Salah as I expect him to leave next summer. Could be a first class player ready to step up or a understudy.
Alternatives: Sané, Mbeumo, Neto, Adeyemi, Olise

RB/HCB – Konsa: A right-sided backup (or starting) central defender (similar to Matip) who can maybe be a defesive cover for RB in a back 3.
Alternatives: Simakan, Geertruida, Lukeba, Kalulu, Leny Yoro

CDM – Varela: Sign a talented CDM who can rotate with Endo and be the main man in a few years. He should be a physical presence defensively but also available to build up. If world class isn't available...
Alternatives: Ugarte, Joao Gomes, Douglas Luiz
EDIT: With Endo playing really well and Macca adapting to the 6 role we could alternatively get Archie Gray in as another talented man for the future.
